Scheduling

Know which bay every car is in, without walking the floor.

A whiteboard or a spreadsheet cannot tell you a job is running over. Bayline's bay board can.

A live board, not a list you have to interpret

Bays are grouped into lanes for ramps, detailing and the yard. Drag an unassigned job onto a free bay to place it, drag between bays to move it, or drop onto an occupied bay to swap. A job whose time-in passes its expected duration gets a danger edge and an "over" label on its own, and every screen showing the board updates within about a second of a change.

  • One active job per bay, enforced in the system, not just by habit.
  • Placing a booked-in job onto a bay moves it into progress automatically.
  • Status is shown as colour plus a label, so it reads from across the workshop and for any eyes.
  • Changes sync live to every screen and tablet watching the board.

Common questions

Questions garage owners ask

Can two jobs share the same bay by mistake?

No. Placing a job on an occupied bay swaps it rather than doubling it up, and one-active-job-per-bay is enforced by the system, not left to whoever is dragging jobs around.

How do I know a job is running late?

A job whose time in the bay passes its expected duration gets a red edge and an "over" label automatically, without anyone updating a status.

Does the board update on more than one screen?

Yes. Every screen and tablet showing the bay board updates live, within about a second of a change.
